This weekend we did a mother/daughter trip to California to celebrate my mom's birthday. We stayed at the Rosewood SandHill Resort in Menlo Park. The weather was perfect - cool with sunny blue skies. Layering was key to stay comfortable. I, of course, left my coat hanging in Houston so picked up this field jacket at the Stanford Mall.

I felt a little like a mint Easter egg in this outfit but found the colors refreshing. It's hard to dress in dark winter colors in such beautiful surroundings. I winterized the outfit with suede booties and a suede clutch. Switch these out with sandals and a rattan clutch and I'm ready for Spring!
